Run Yi Law Firm was invited to attend the 2015 Asia Intellectual Property Business Forum (Hong Kong).
On December 3, 2015, the Business of IP Asia Forum grandly opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Attorney Liu Xiaoyu of Runyi Law Firm, as a representative of the Pudong Intellectual Property Protection Association, was invited to attend this forum.
This forum, themed "Intellectual Property: Driving Global Transformation," featured over 80 heavyweight guest speakers and was attended by more than 2,000 professionals in the intellectual property field. Distinguished attendees included Mr. Leung Chun-ying, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Mr. Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China; Mr. Francis Gurry, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO); Mr. Magen, Chair of the Intellectual Property Experts Group of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation; and Mr. Vincent Fang, President of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, who delivered speeches at the forum.
The forum focused on main topics including "Sustainable Intellectual Property Business Models in a Changing World," "Global Trends in Intellectual Property Licensing Strategies," and the "Belt and Road Initiative," covering various themes such as practical intellectual property information, industry-specific IP issues, Asia-focused topics, and an introduction to intellectual property. These themes encompassed the latest developments in finance, law, commerce, and industry. During a meeting between the Pudong Intellectual Property Protection Association and the Hong Kong Institute of Patent Attorneys, Attorney Liu Xiaoyu listened to Hong Kong patent attorneys share innovative measures in Hong Kong's intellectual property operations and exchanged insights on new developments in the management and protection of intellectual property in Mainland China.
Through this forum, Attorney Liu Xiaoyu stated that the various issues encountered in our firm's daily provision of comprehensive professional legal services to enterprises—ranging from trademark applications to litigation, as well as overall services such as intellectual property diagnosis and planning—can all be greatly inspired. I believe that our firm will, in the future, provide clients with more precise and professional legal services for their intellectual property matters, assisting them in intellectual property management, protection, and brand building.
