Shanghai Bar Association Delegation Visits Singapore for Inspection and Study
From April 20 to 26, 2025, the Shanghai Bar Association organized a delegation of senior lawyers to visit Singapore for an inspection and exchange program. The delegation was led by Han Lu, Vice President of the Bar Association, with Jin Bingyi, Managing Partner of Shanghai Runyi Law Firm and Vice President of the Bar Association, serving as Deputy Leader.
During the visit, the delegation paid courtesy calls to key legal institutions in Singapore, including the Ministry of Law, the Law Society, the Supreme Court, the Attorney-General's Chambers, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC).
As a globally recognized hub for legal services, Singapore has accumulated extensive and advanced experience in areas such as foreign-related legal services, judicial cooperation, and international commercial dispute resolution. Runyi Law Firm fully understands the importance of foreign-related legal services for the development of law firms and the protection of client interests. This inspection program organized by the Shanghai Bar Association provided a valuable learning opportunity for the Shanghai legal profession. Through on-site visits and thematic seminars, the delegation systematically studied Singapore's best practices, which will serve as an important reference for enhancing the capacity and international competitiveness of Shanghai's legal profession in foreign-related legal services.
Through this program, Runyi Law Firm will actively explore ways to integrate the lessons learned into its own business practices, further enhance its level of foreign-related legal services, provide clients with more professional and higher-quality legal services, and help the Shanghai legal profession demonstrate stronger competitiveness on the international stage.
