Attorney Jin Bingyi has been appointed as an interviewer for the internship assessment of applicants for lawyer practice by the Shanghai Bar Association.

On December 24, 2015, Mr. Jin Bingyi, Managing Partner of our firm, was appointed as an Interview Examiner for the Internship Assessment of Applicants for Lawyer Practice Licenses by the Shanghai Bar Association. The term of appointment is from January 1, 2016, to December 31, 2017.

On the same day, the Shanghai Bar Association held the inaugural appointment ceremony for Interview Examiners for Internship Assessment. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Yu Weifeng, President of the Shanghai Bar Association; Mr. Lyu Yan, Vice President and Director of the Assessment Committee; Mr. Ye Lin, Deputy Director of the Lawyer Management Division of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice; and Mr. Chen Dong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Bar Association. Vice President Lyu Yan first read out the "Decision on the Appointment of Interview Examiners for the Internship Assessment of Applicants for Lawyer Practice Licenses for the 2016-2017 Term." The appointment of examiners was conducted by the Shanghai Bar Association through a combination of organizational recommendation and voluntary application. A total of 280 examiners were selected from among former directors and supervisors, current members of the District and County Lawyer Work Committees, directors and deputy directors of Professional Research Committees, and personnel engaged in lawyer management at judicial administrative organs, to serve as the first batch of "Interview Examiners for the Internship Assessment of Applicants for Lawyer Practice Licenses."

Managing Partner Jin Bingyi stated that in future interview sessions, he will assess intern lawyers from three aspects: ideological development, professional ethics, and professional competence. He will strictly adhere to the assessment system to raise the threshold for entry into the legal profession.
