On December 18, 2015, the inaugural meeting of the Changfeng Science and Innovation Alliance was held in the main conference hall of Zhongsen Design Company, located within the Changfeng Ecological Business District. Leaders from the Party Committee, the Management Committee Office, and Changfeng Investment Company of the Changfeng Ecological Business District, as well as relevant functional department heads from the Putuo District Science and Technology Commission and the Putuo District Federation of Industry and Commerce, along with representatives from each member entity, attended the meeting. Runyi Law Firm, as one of the first batch of member entities, was also present at this meeting.

The establishment of the Changfeng Science and Innovation Alliance represents a significant initiative by the Changfeng Ecological Business District to actively respond to the call of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government regarding "accelerating the construction of Shanghai into a globally influential science and technology innovation center," and to earnestly implement the strategic deployment proposed at the Eighth Plenary Session of the Ninth District Party Committee to build a "practice zone for science and technology innovation-driven transformation and an ecological zone suitable for living, entrepreneurship, and business." The District Party Committee indicated that the Changfeng Science and Innovation Alliance will solidly advance all work, establish a platform for communication, exchange, cooperation, and mutual benefit, break down barriers between industry, academia, and research, integrate advantageous resources from all parties, and fully leverage the alliance's role as a bond and bridge, a hub for aggregation and integration, and a functional radiation point. This will accelerate the construction of a science and technology innovation highland in western Shanghai, propel Changfeng to become a leader and pacesetter in enhancing regional science and technology innovation capabilities, and make due contributions to the construction of Shanghai's science and technology innovation center.
